Xbox Series X users urged to grab free store credit a lot of us missed
In this day and age, when bills are high and money is tight, it’s always nice to save some money whenever we can, especially when it comes to partaking in our favourite hobby, playing video games.
Subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus are fantastic because they can save loads of money in comparison to purchasing just one AAA video game with each service offering the potential of hundreds of video games in an instant.

Both Microsoft and Sony also have decent reward schemes that offer points that can be exchanged for free store credit, video games, digital collectables, giveaways and much more. However, PlayStation gamers will be feeling restricted right now due to Sony’s reward scheme, PlayStation Stars being down for about a month, at the time of writing.
Thankfully at least, Xbox gamers can still earn loads of freebies with Microsoft Rewards which is also accessible on modern Xbox consoles. You can earn points by playing titles included in Xbox Game Pass, acquiring in-game achievements or web browsing using Microsoft Bing, as discussed on Reddit.
“What are the best lesser-known features of the Xbox Series X/S,” asked Redditor Character_Chapter_41. “Bing and the Microsoft Rewards app, I earn a $10 gift card every month just by clicking for a minute every day,” replied superpimp2g.
In all honesty, if you’re an Xbox gamer and use the Outlook email service as well as Bing, there’s a good chance that you’ve been clocking up points without even realising. If, like me, you have a memory of a goldfish, you can set up an auto-redeem feature and if you use the Xbox mobile app, it can provide daily reminders to ensure that you don’t miss out on points.
As the Reddit user above mentions, it’s easy to earn free credit that can be spent on video games, DLC or digital movies. Trust me, you’ll be earning points in no time with a little patience and persistence.
Heck, you could even use the free store credit to add additional months to your Xbox Game Pass subscription or purchase upcoming video games such as Indiana Jones and The Great Circle or Gears of War: E-Day. The world is your oyster.
