On tonight’s WWE NXT, a faction officially welcomed a new member as one of their recent running mates made it permanent.

While Ridge Holland has – in storyline – had a checkered past on NXT, he has seen recent redemption after teaming with Chase U.

After backstage segments during which Holland felt protective over Thea Hail as she reminded him of his own daughter, a somewhat softer side of Ridge emerged.

Putting on impressive display in the opening match of the show tonight, that being a battle royal to determine who would face Trick Williams at NXT Heatwave, Chase U was proud of Ridge Holland after the match.

They officially gifted Ridge Holland his very own Chase U shirt and he put it on straight away.

There would not be peace for long however as The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) would approach and a match would be made for later that night.

More good news was on the horizon for Chase U as in the end, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson beat the pair of main roster stars to capture a win.

Notably absent from tonight’s show was Riley Osborne, who has consistently questioned the other Chase U members’ willingness to accept Holland into the group given his history.
