A mandatory payout for the Thoroughbred Jackpot Hi-5 will take place Sunday at Woodbine.

The Jackpot Hi-5 carryover is about US$253,816. This will be the final carryover amount going into the mandatory payout, as the wager has been suspended until Sunday’s card.

The Jackpot Hi-5 wager requires horseplayers to select the top five finishers in order. A horseplayer can win the entire jackpot only if they hold the only winning ticket for that day’s wager. If there are multiple winning tickets, half the pool is paid out and the other half is added to the carryover.

The entire carryover will be paid out, plus new money wagered, during Sunday’s mandatory payout. The Jackpot Hi-5 has a 20-cent minimum and a 15 percent takeout.

The Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout will take place on Sunday’s final race. The entries for Sunday’s card will be released on Thursday afternoon.

Post time for Sunday’s card of live racing at Woodbine Racetrack is 1:10 p.m. EDT.
