Women’s Tennis Announces Addition of Lucie Petruzelova to Program – Ole Miss Athletics – Hotty Toddy
OXFORD, Miss. – Following a successful three seasons as Charlotte, Lucie Petruzelova is set to join the Ole Miss women’s tennis program for the 2024-25 academic year.
The transfer from Zasova, Czech Republic led the 49ers this past season with 26 singles victories, tying her for the second-most in a single season in Charlotte’s history, inlcuding a record of 16-4 in dual matches. She added 14 wins in doubles during the year, and was recently named to the All-Conference USA team for the second-straight season.
As a sophomore in 2022-23, Petruzelova picked up a team-best 24 singles victories, highlighted by a 19-2 record in dual matches. She added 22 wins in doubles action, and capped off the year with an all-conference honor.
She adjusted to collegiate tennis quickly during her freshman season, winning 16 singles matches and finishing third on Charlotte with 22 doubles victories. For her efforts both on and off the court, Petruzelova was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team and an ITA Scholar Athlete.
As a professional, Petruzelova owns a career-high WTA ranking of 846 in doubles action and 1,167 in singles play.
