Women’s Golf Releases 2024 Fall Schedule – Elon University Athletics

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women’s golf program released its fall 2023 schedule on Friday. The Phoenix will compete in five events, including its annual home tournament.
 
“With three new freshmen and a strong returning group we look forward to another great season and a run at the conference title,” said head coach Chris Dockrill, who enters his 25^th season at the helm of the program.
 
The team opens its fall campaign hosting the fifth annual Elon Invitational on Sept. 15-17 at Alamance Country Club. Next, the maroon and gold head to Asheboro, N.C. for the Tot Hill Farm Invitational on Sept. 22-24. The week of Oct. 13-15 sees the Phoenix heading south to Edisto Beach, S.C. for the Edisto Island Invitational before competing at the Terrier Intercollegiate on Oct. 20-22 in Greenville, S.C. Elon then concludes its fall season at the FBCI UNC Asheville event in Asheville, N.C. on Oct. 27-29.
 
The Phoenix is coming off a strong 2023-24 season where they posted nine Top-5 finishes in 10 tournaments played. The Phoenix returns six golfers including Annie Wu who was named to the 2024 All-CAA Second Team last season. Other returners include Andrea Asmundsdottir, Sakura Kawakami, Ashley Lafontaine, Phoebe Peng and Charlotte Scully. Elon also welcomes three newcomers in Garland Gould, Emma Hansen and Kelly Zhao.
