Woman dies after being shot in Vaughan Mills parking lot

A woman has died after being shot in the Vaughan Mills parking lot Tuesday evening.

Police say they were called to the area just before 5:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting after mall security found the woman in the parking lot.

The female victim, believed to be in her 20s, was rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition where she was pronounced dead. Police are still working on notifying next of kin.

Two male suspects have been taken into custody, but no charges have been laid as the investigation is still ongoing.

Police have not provided any further information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
