Windstar Ups the Ante for Travel to the Med in Winter 2025-2026
Windstar Cruises has been following the growing trend of off-season travel to the Mediterranean and expanded its offerings in response, unveiling its 2025-2026 Winter Mediterranean itineraries. These feature six unique voyages and six Star Collector sailings that combine multiple itineraries for extended exploration and include complimentary laundry service—a plus that encourages clients to extend their stay.
“Winter in the Mediterranean is a fantastic time to see a different side of this magical region, get to know the locals, and celebrate special holidays like Christmas in Florence, New Years in Dubrovnik, and Carnevale across Italy,” said Windstar’s President Christopher Prelog, in a press statement. “Sailing year-round in the Mediterranean has been very successful for Windstar, so much so that we are now expanding our winter offerings due to its popularity.”
Windstar Combines Hot Offers With New Sailings
To promote these new sailings, Windstar is offering an Early Booking Offer. When you book clients early, they will receive a $200 onboard credit per stateroom and a complimentary upgrade to All-Inclusive Fares, which cover Wi-Fi, gratuities and unlimited beer, wine and cocktails. This offer is available until Oct. 31, 2025.
Of note: Windstar’s Winter Mediterranean sailings from December through February are part of the Star Group Sailings incentive program. Group leaders can earn one free berth for every seven sold, compared to the usual one free for every nine sold. The program also includes a 10 percent savings on the listed fare, a $100 per person shipboard credit and a $100 per person Travel Advisor Bonus Commission with Tour Conductor Credit earned.
Windstar’s winter itineraries feature ports not typically visited during the summer, such as Valencia, Spain, Crotone, Italy and Catania, Sicily. The season also introduces a new port: Genoa, Italy. In Genoa, your clients can explore the maritime museum, visit the largest aquarium in Europe or wander the historic Palazzi dei Rolli. Overnight stays in Dubrovnik, Venice, Nice, Barcelona, Malaga and Livorno (Florence) mean more time for exploration and a chance to indulge in the local nightlife.
All itineraries will be aboard the 312-guest, all-suite Star Legend, which offers staterooms starting at 277 square feet, all with ocean views and some with step-out verandas. As the Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation, Windstar provides out-of-the-ordinary dining experiences across five eateries: Amphora, Veranda, Candles, Star Grill by Stephen Raichlen and Cuadro 44 by Anthony Sasso. Chefs source fresh seafood, produce and local specialties to bring regional flavors onboard, even in winter. Of note: Sailing in the post-harvest season also benefits wine tours, as your clients will get personalized attention from winemakers during the cellar season.
From November 2025 through March 2026, sailings for the 2025-2026 season depart from Athens, Barcelona, Malaga, Rome and Venice.
