Destinations around the globe are buzzing but settling on the right one can be tricky.

Where to Travel for the Fourth of July
Independence Day is poised to be a busy holiday stretch in 2024 with AAA forecasting that nearly 71 million people will travel over the first week of July. One destination that will surely be buzzing is Texas’ Galveston Island, which boasts 32 miles of summer charm in addition to an exciting Fourth of July parade and fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico.
In the nation’s capital, travelers can celebrate American independence by partaking in the Willard Ardbeg Annual Independence Day BBQ and Block Party on the scenic Cafe du Parc Terrace at the Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C.
In addition to awesome views of the city’s fireworks, guests can chow down on hot dogs and burgers fresh from the grill and cool off with ice pops and signature cocktails.
Where to Travel to Escape the Heat
July is poised to be a scorcher in many parts of the world but travelers can escape the blistering heat in Alberta, Canada’s picturesque Banff National Park where the average high temperature this month is just 64 degrees. In addition to spectacular scenery, visitors can look forward to challenging hikes, rock climbing, helicopter tours and so much more.

The sports festival for athletes over 30 will draw thousands of athletes from all over the world who will compete in more than two dozen sports, including track and field, tennis, basketball, pickleball and cycling. Visitors to Milwaukee can also catch the final days of Summerfest this July. The world’s largest music festival wraps up July 4-6 with live performances by AJR, Maroon 5, Lil Uzi Vert and more.
Travelers can also head to the Great Western Catskills of Delaware County, New York to experience a plethora of events and festivals this July, including the free Stagecoach Run Art Festival from July 6-7, the month-long Honest Brook Music Festival kicking off July 13, the Deposit Lumberjack Festival from July 19-21 and the Catskill Mountain Yoga Festival on July 27.
Where to Travel for Adventure
