Walkers to raise money for ALS this weekend – My Prince George Now

Walkers in Prince George are looking to raise $20,000 for ALS research and treatment as a part of the provincial ‘Move to Cure ALS’ initiative.

Prince George’s walk will take place at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park starting at 10:00.

According to the ALS Society of British Columbia, all the money raised stays in BC and the Yukon – 60 per cent will go to patient service programs and the other 40 per cent will help fund research.

Donations are being collected online. The Prince George fundraiser has brought in a little over $4,000, $345,000 have been raised provincially.
