Walker Braaten Commits to NDSU Football

One of North Dakota’s top football recruits in the Class of 2025 is set to stay in-state for college, pledging to play at North Dakota State.

Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn’s Walker Braaten announced his commitment to play for the Bison on social media this past weekend, choosing NDSU over offers from schools like UND, SDSU, and Army, along with interest from multiple power four schools.

Braaten has also gotten offers to play college basketball.

The 2024 KX Sports’ Small School Football Athlete of the Year and three-star recruit will suit up at safety for his home state school.

“It’s an awesome feeling, I mean a lot of North Dakota guys don’t get looked at and just get skipped over just with how the state is. It’s a great thing to have those in-state colleges look at you and it’s awesome to be recruited by them,” Braaten said.
