Video: Madden NFL 25 Unveils Gameplay Trailer, Shows Justin Fields Returning Kickoff
Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Madden NFL 25 later this summer, fans got a first look at the game on Thursday.
EA Sports dropped a gameplay trailer for Madden NFL 25, which is set to be released on Aug. 16. Interestingly, the opening scene features Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields returning a kickoff.
The trailer detailed the game’s Boom Tech feature, which is described as “a new dynamic physics-based tackling system that lets you dominate the gridiron like a bona fide NFL superstar.” New control features also allow players to juke defenders with “true-to-life player behaviors.”
Following the release of Madden NFL 24, producers of the famed video game consulted with players on what features they wanted to be included in the next installment, and they feel confident that players and fans will be satisfied with the final product.
“For a couple of years, there were a lot of things that we needed to do. Needed,” Madden NFL 25 senior producer Michael Mahar told Nick Shook of NFL.com. “And we are doing more and more of what we want to do. And what we want to do is to deliver a lot of things that our players are telling us they want. A lot of innovations in gameplay and elsewhere in the game. I don’t think we ever get there, but there has been a shift.”
Mahar added: “We have momentum. We shipped Madden 24, we talked to you all last year, we were hoping it resonated. And just the sheer volume of people that played it as much as they did, for as long as they did, really helped us believe.”
In addition to the upcoming release of Madden NFL 25, fans are also looking forward to the release of EA Sports College Football 25, which comes out next month. Fans will be able to pre-order both games through the MVP Bundle, which also includes bonus rewards.
