Video! Costa Fails Bizarre Twerk Lesson

Paulo Costa is entering a tough fight against Sean Strickland tomorrow night (Sat., June 1, 2024) at UFC 302 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., but at least the Brazilian contender now knows how to twerk.

Costa, who is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster today, is coming into a massive co-main event clash with Strickland. It will be Costa’s chance to return to the win column after a recent decision loss to Robert Whittaker his last time out and take out a former UFC champion in the process. If Costa is able to deliver a memorable outing against Strickland he could line himself up for contention by year’s end.

Luckily, Costa had a little extra preparation for his fight against Strickland, but it’s not what you think.

Earlier this week, Costa caught up with women’s bantamweight fighter, Ailin Perez, during a backstage encounter. Perez, who is an up-and-coming contender at 135 pounds, is known for her ability to twerk (she even did this inside of the Octagon). Perez took a moment to show Costa the ropes and how to properly shake his you know what. Costa was more than willing to give it a try.
