Tsitsipas edges past wildcard Squire to reach second round

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 6 seed, defeated German wildcard Henri Squire 7-6 (7), 7-6 (2) to advance to the second round of the Halle Open at the Owl Arena/Gerry-Weber-Stadion.

Tsitsipas, ranked No 11, will face the winner of the match between Italian Luciano Darderi and German Jan-Lennard Struff next.
