Truecaller Introduces New Feature To Tackle Issue Of AI-Generated Scam Calls; Hits 400 Million Active Users

To use AI Call Scanner, you need to upgrade to the latest Truecaller version, 14.6, on Android. This feature is available as part of Truecaller Premium and includes a free trial. Currently, it is only available in the US, but will be rolled out to other countries soon.

Here’s how to use AI Call Scanner:

1. Set Truecaller as your main calling app.

2. When you receive a suspicious call, tap “Start AI Detection.”

3. The call will pause briefly while the AI records and analyses the voice.

4. An “Analysing…” message will appear during the process.

5. You’ll get an immediate on-screen notification indicating whether the voice is human or AI.
