Travis Kelce Reveals His No. 1 Dream Job After The NFL

Travis Kelce already has a dream job drawn up in his playbook for his post-NFL career.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed in Wednesday’s episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” that he hopes to become a sportscaster after he retires from the league.

Kelce shared his career aspirations after his brother, Jason Kelce, the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center and “New Heights” co-host, proposed the  brothers buy a minority stake in the Eagles organization.

The Chiefs player quickly shut down the idea, explaining that he wouldn’t want to jeopardize his potential opportunities in TV with any conflict of interest as a minority owner in the NFL.

“I want to broadcast when I’m done playing,” he said, before jokingly doing an exaggerated impression of a sports commentator’s voice.

“I want to be the talking head that calls the games,” he said.

Travis Kelce, who helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in February, signed a two-year, $34.25 million contract with the team in April, The Associated Press reported, citing unnamed sources familiar with the terms.

Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach told the publication at the time that Travis Kelce is the highest-paid tight end in the league.

The three-time Super Bowl champion, whose relationship with singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has spurred a media frenzy, is exploring some of his other talents beyond the gridiron.

It was announced last month that he was cast in Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror series, “Grotesquerie.”

Travis Kelce discussed learning to act for his “Grotesquerie” role in an episode of “New Heights” last month, telling his older brother he felt like a “jabroni” alongside professional and experienced actors.

“I feel like an amateur. And I haven’t gotten fired yet, so we’re doing good,” he said of his experience on set. “They haven’t told me to fucking kick rocks after the first week, so it’s been awesome.”
