Travel home delayed by severe weather

Severe weather posed a risk for significant travel delays across the Mid-Atlantic and around the country. Friday saw an unprecedented number of some 3 million airline passengers — the most ever screened in a single day by the Transportation Security Administration. Hundreds of travelers flew back to Baltimore on Monday, touching down later than first planned. Headaches mounted for members of the flying public as the holiday weekend wound down, largely because of storms across the country. The website FlightAware tracked rolling flight disruptions in Baltimore and across the country as stormy weather moved east and early Monday afternoon.
