Smartphone launch spree of 2024 continues in July. We are expected to see a variety of new devices, not just in terms of hardware but also in terms of practicality and design. Phones launching in the second week of July include successors to some of the highly popular foldables, new modular phones, affordable phones with AI capabilities, and phones with a metal unibody design from brands like Samsung, OnePlus, Nothing, Oppo, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6

Samsung made foldables mainstream, and the company is all set to launch its 6th generation foldables––the Galaxy Z Fold 6, a big book-style foldable, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, a compact clamshell-style foldable––on July 10, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris, France. The event will also be live-streamed on platforms like YouTube and X.
As per leaks, these devices won’t look a lot different from the current Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5. However, these are likely to be the most durable foldables from the company. Samsung is also expected to introduce new Galaxy AI features. Besides these two phones, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 3 series and Galaxy Watch 7 series, along with the global debut of the Galaxy Ring.

Nothing CMF Phone 1

Budget smartphones usually lack charm and uniqueness, but the upcoming CMF Phone 1 seems to be defying this notion. According to leaks and official renders, it is a modular smartphone that enables a lot of hardware-level customisation. While it doesn’t look anything like any of the previous smartphones from Nothing, it seems to have its own design ethos and is likely to come in multiple, flashy colour options. The CMF Phone 1 is said to be the cheapest smartphone from the company, and according to a recent leak from Flipkart, the base variant of the Phone 1 will start at Rs 14,999. Besides the phone, the company has also confirmed the launch of Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2.

Lava Blaze X

Also launching on July 10, the Blaze X by Lava is said to be one of the most affordable phones in the country with a curved display. It is said to undercut the Lava Blaze Curve, currently one of the most affordable phones with a curved display. Official renders of the Blaze X indicate a dual-camera setup, placed inside a circular camera island, and the phone is also said to have a glass back panel.

Oppo Reno 12 series

Launching on July 12, the Oppo Reno 12 series is the company’s first AI phone in India, marketed as “Your Everyday AI companion.” The lineup includes two phones––the Reno 12 and the Reno 12 Pro––with several AI features such as AI Studio, AI Eraser 2.0, AI recording summary, and more.

OnePlus Nord 4

OnePlus, at its summer launch event, has confirmed the launch of its next Nord – OnePlus Nord 4. Along with it, the OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Watch 2R, and the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro are expected to be launched at an event held in Milan, Italy. The Nord 4 is said to bring back the metal unibody design and is expected to be the most powerful smartphone from the Nord series.

As part of its 10th anniversary in India, Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi 13, most likely the company’s most affordable 5G smartphone. Besides, the company is also expected to introduce a few more accessories such as power banks, wireless earphones, and more.

iQOO Z9 Lite 5G

iQOO is also introducing yet another budget 5G phone this month – the Z9 Lite, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which is confirmed to be available in two colour options. The Z9 Lite is expected to offer at least 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage, and considering the price of the company’s previous budget 5G phone, this one is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000.

Honor 200 series

The Honor 200 is said to be the company’s most capable camera-centric phone launching in India with a dual 50MP camera setup and a quad-curved display. As per the leaks, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and will ship with Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0.
While these are some of the phones that are confirmed to launch in July, brands like Realme have also teased the launch of new devices and are expected to confirm the dates in the coming days.
