Time travel at this weekend’s Heritage Festival

The Town of Maple Creek will be packed with fun for the whole family tomorrow for its annual Heritage Festival.

Activities will be lining Jasper Street and Pacific Avenue as of 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and running through the evening with beer gardens.

Event coordinator, Carmen Drapeau, is looking forward to the range of different events taking place. 

“We have three centenarians we’re going to recognize, and that’s people that are 100 years old,” she said. “We have a business decorating contest as well, where businesses are going to dress up their storefronts … and there’s three [prize categories]. We’re going to have a lot of different vendors too … right on the street.”
