Tiger Woods US Open tracker: Three-time winner misses cut after rough Round 2 in Pinehurst

Tiger Woods, 15-time major winner, didn’t get the start he wanted and finished his first round at the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 on Thursday with a 4-over-74. He didn’t get much better in Round 2.

The three-time U.S. Open winner birdied on the fourth hole to close the gap slightly to the leaders. That was immediately undone by a bogey one hole later. At 5-over, he entered the back nine right on the cusp of the projected cut line.

Two more bogeys – at the 12th and 16th holes – ended his chances of continuing on this weekend. Woods wrapped up Friday in Pinehurst at 7-over, two strokes away from making the cut.

2024 US Open: Friday weather forecast for Pinehurst Resort

As of Thursday afternoon, Weather.com forecasts a partly sunny day in Pinehurst, North Carolina for Round 2 of the U.S. Open. The forecasted high temperature is 91 degrees Fahrenheit and the low, 71 degrees.
