Thursday works: Nobals leads 9 graded-stakes winners on tab

Nobals worked Thursday at Hawthorne as trainer Larry Rivelli narrows down his options for his next start.

The 5-year-old gelding hasn’t raced since winning the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint in November, and Rivelli told Horse Racing Nation that race is the goal again this year. To that end, Rivelli said Nobals will make his 2024 in a stakes at either Horseshoe Indianapolis or Ellis Park in July.

Nobals returned to training in April, and on Thursday, he breezed five furlongs in 1:04.2, fifth fastest of five at the distance.
