Clove Hitch

Might be odds on but certainly worth backing this filly who’s gone well recently, behind Cat Ninja who has boosted that form as she went second again in a tough race next time out.

Clove Hitch returned this season in April to come third behind Economics which was a big improvement to her disappointing debut.

Oisin Murphy is on board again and he’s been on fire recently and should get the win out of this filly for the also in-form trainer Andrew Balding.

Yorkshire

Suited the step up to 7f and could have gone two for two at Doncaster with a little extra distance as he just failed to run out Silver Samurai by a short head.

It’s all been small margins for this gelding who came joint first in a dead heat in May.

That run last time out suggests there’s more to come going up in trip for a trainer with a 27% strike rate in the last 14 days.

Matterhorn

Matterhorn made a winning chase debut last month in a match with the lower rated Gower Prince.

He showed some form over hurdles but also disappointed on occasion when not quite getting things right.

He pulled up at Chepstow in April over hurdles as favourite on his first outing since his wind op.

Should be much better off and very well weighted to strike here as he’s always looked like a horse to go well over fences.
