The investigation and tips from the public led police to a home on Pond Road in New Harbour where a large quantity of items were seized, including two side-by-sides, two ATVs, three generators, a boat and trailer, two kayaks, two chainsaws, one TV, and various tools and household goods.

Three people are now charged in connection to the alleged “theft ring.” They are 44-year-old Mark Laite of Victoria, 43-year-old Christopher McKenzie of New Harbour, and 49-year-old Harvey Pollett of New Harbour, each are facing 11 charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
