The Week in Fashion: Tory Burch Serves Up Delectable Accessories
Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.
The Attico Takes Over Naples
What screams beachwear more than a seaside Italian city? In honor of the second release of their Napoli Vista Mare collection, luxury retailer The Attico took over the city of Naples, using a number of iconic locations to celebrate the drop, from F.lli Attanasio bakery to Mennella’s ice cream shop.
But our focus is on the clothes—which became available to shop online starting May 24. The collection includes vibrant prints, bright colors, and other details that celebrate the spirit of the Italian city. Not to mention, the launch was marked with an event in the heart of the city, where guests were gifted with an exclusive pair of Nike Cortez sneakers, which were decorated with The Attico logo, the word Napoli, and a horn-shaped pendant.
Marni Taps Paloma Elsesser and Alake Shilling for Summer Collection
Our modeling queen Paloma Elsesser is really diving into the world of fashion design. Back in April, she teamed up with Ganni to create a seven-piece collection, and now she’s just collaborated with Marni for their new summer line.
The result is part of Marni Jam, an “interdisciplinary multi-practice that holds Marni and like-minded entities into a series of creative exchanges,” according to the label. With this latest “jam,” Elsesser worked with creative director Francesco Risso and artist Alake Shilling to craft a collection that is sure to be the hot commodity of the season.
“Having been a long time Marni family member my heart sings at this collision of all of our likes,” Elsesser said. “It is also a new expression of Marni’s commitment to seeing the beauty in all people with its size extension going to 56* for the first time, as well, as my shared vision of the industry I wish to see. This collection is a reflection of the joy that summer brings: a slurry of sweat, sweetness, and surrender. I am very excited to share this with the world.”
Tory Burch Is Fulfilling Our Sundae Dreams
As if we weren’t already obsessed with the rich material of Tory Burch accessories, the brand just released an “Ice Cream Shop” that has our mouths watering.
To celebrate the onset of summer, the label is offering their Miller sandal and their Ella Bio totes in a range of new ice cream-themed colors, from “Strawberry Swirl” to “Mint Chocolate Chip.”
However, this delectable limited-edition collection was only a small portion of the label’s new summer collection, which ranged from jersey dresses to mule sandals, and more. The best part? They got Emily Ratajkowski to model it all in a beachy campaign.
Jimmy Choo Cinches the Win with New Bag
Jimmy Choo is ready to clutch the title of “handbag of the summer” with their new Cinch bag. Part of their Summer 2024 collection, this slouchy, medium-sized bag features a drawstring closure and the brand’s signature diamond clasp.
Longtime followers of the brand might find this silhouette familiar, as the Cinch is actually an evolution of the Jimmy Choo Bon Bon evening bag. As noted by the luxury brand, the Cinch “celebrates and emphasizes the defining features of the house’s beloved design.”
Right now, the bag is offered in colors like black, white, silver, and chocolate brown—but don’t be surprised if more color options become available in the fall. Oh, and if you find yourself riding the cowgirl dressing wave, there’s also an iteration that comes in a rosy pink cow print.
