The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 Release Date, Title Sequence Revealed (Exclusive) – IGN Live – IGN
We finally know when The Legend of Vox Machina will be returning for Season 3, and we’ve just got a few months to go.
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on October 3, IGN can exclusively reveal. The news was shared at IGN Live today, where cast members Matt Mercer, Marisha Ray, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and Ashley Johnson stopped by to answer questions and say hi to fans.
We can also reveal the opening title sequence for Season 3, which you can watch below:
Fans have been anxiously awaiting the news on when The Legend of Vox Machina would return ever since Season 2 wrapped up last February. Seasons 1 and 2 dropped on Prime Video in three-episode batches — it’s currently unclear if Season 3 will drop with the same structure.
The Legend of Vox Machina was renewed for a third season all the way back at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, well before Season 2 had premiered. The animated series, of course, comes from the team at Critical Role, adapting various arcs from the Vox Machina campaign of their hit Dungeons & Dragons webseries. The first two seasons adapted storylines like the Briarwood and Chroma Conclave arcs.
Vox Machina isn’t the only Critical Role campaign getting the series treatment. Mighty Nein, its second campaign, will also get an animated show on Prime Video as part of a first-look deal with Critical Role that was unveiled early last year.
But while you wait for Mighty Nein and The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3, you can check out our review of Season 2, which called it “bigger, meaner, and funnier than its predecessor, moving away from the prologue to a proper fantasy epic with multiple locations, a grand quest, and character side missions.”
