The 2024 lehighvalleylive.com All-Area Boys Tennis Team

The 2024 lehighvalleylive.com All-Area Boys Tennis first team features three players from Moravian Academy and two each from Liberty, Emmaus and Nazareth.

The first team also has a representative from Saucon Valley, Allentown Central Catholic and Freedom.

The All-Area team honors standouts from schools in Northampton, Lehigh and Warren counties, as well as Palisades in Bucks County, Palmerton in Carbon County and North Hunterdon, Voorhees and Delaware Valley in Hunterdon County.

See the first, second and third teams below as well as the honorable mention selections.

First team

Saucon Valley’s Deven Pandey vs. Moravian Academy’s Ford Koch in the District 11 Class 2A boys tennis singles championships on April 23, 2024.

Pandey won his third consecutive District 11 Class 2A singles title. The junior only lost four total games in his first three victories of the district singles tournament and 10 overall games in all four of the tourney matches. He won the No. 1 singles bracket in the Colonial League tournament.

Stone, the fifth seed, won the District 11 Class 3A singles championship. The freshman won three of the four matches in the district tournament in straight sets. He was on the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference’s first team for singles.

Appleman was voted the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference MVP. The senior joined forces with classmate Roman Farhad to win their second consecutive District 11 Class 3A doubles title. Appleman and Farhad advanced to the state semifinals and ended up finishing fourth in the PIAA tournament.

Farhad teamed with senior Luke Appleman to win their second consecutive District 11 Class 3A doubles championship. The Hurricanes duo advanced to the state semifinals and finished fourth in the PIAA tournament. He won the No. 2 singles bracket in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference tournament.

Koch joined forces with sophomore Aveer Chadha to win the District 11 Class 2A doubles title for the second consecutive season. The senior was the runner-up in the district singles tournament. He also was the runner-up in the Colonial League No. 1 singles tourney.

Moravian Academy

Chadha teamed with senior Ford Koch to earn the District 11 Class 2A doubles championship for the second consecutive year. The sophomore won the No. 2 singles title at the Colonial League championships. He reached the District 11 Class 2A singles semifinals.

Knowles was the runner-up in the District 11 Class 3A singles tournament. The junior earned second-team All-Eastern Pennsylvania Conference honors. He teamed with Logan Baltz to reach the District 11 Class 3A doubles semifinals.

Spinosa teamed with Mack Zeller to reach the final of the District 11 Class 2A doubles tournament. The senior reached the district singles semifinals. He was a third-team All-Eastern Pennsylvania Conference selection.

Rodburg was voted as a second-team All-Eastern Pennsylvania Conference choice. The junior joined forces with Luke Braido to finish second in the District 11 Class 3A doubles tournament. He reached the semifinals of the district singles tourney.

Stone finished in third place in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference No. 1 singles tournament. The junior was recognized as a second-team All-EPC performer. He reached the District 11 Class 3A singles semifinals.

Abia won the championship in the Colonial League No. 3 singles tournament. The freshman helped Moravian Academy earn its second consecutive District 11 Class 2A team title. He reached the district singles quarterfinals.
