The 111th Grey Cup to air on CTV for 2024 season, Jonas Brothers to perform at halftime show – NOW Toronto
Good news for Canadian Football League (CFL) fans! The 111th Grey Cup will be airing on CTV for the 2024 season.
On Thursday, the CFL and Bell Media announced all regular season games at 3 p.m ET will be on CTV, as well as all playoff games, which includes the Grey Cup.
In addition, as of Sept. 7, Saturday afternoon CFL contests will be broadcasted exclusively on CTV with kickoff times shifting from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. CTV and TSN will also carry the Eastern Semi-final on Nov. 2 and the Eastern Final on Nov. 9. Prior to this announcement, the CFL aired on TSN and RDS, TSN’s French-language affiliate.
“This is a truly special day – not only for our great game and the 111th Grey Cup, but also for every fan of Canadian football across the country,” CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie said in a press release.
“After a stellar 2023 season filled with terrific crowds and spectacular audiences, we’re looking forward to building on that momentum alongside our partners at TSN, RDS and now CTV,” he continued.
Every game will lead up to the 111th Grey Cup at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Nov. 17. This year, the Jonas Brothers are set to perform during the halftime show. The trio is currently on a world tour in support of its five popular albums.
“After bringing The Tour to Vancouver last November, we were so excited for the opportunity to return and perform at the Grey Cup this November,” the Jonas Brothers said in a press release.
The 2024 CFL season kicks off tonight at 8:30 p.m ET. Defending champions Montreal Alouettes will go against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a rematch of the 110th Grey Cup.
The 111th Grey Cup will take place on Nov. 17 at B.C. Place Stadium.
