Ahead of Taste of Edmonton’s 40th anniversary this summer, organizers announced Friday that presale tickets will be available starting Saturday.

A sheet of 40 tickets costs $59.50 from June 1 until July 17, saving attendees $10.

“Presale ticket prices have been unchanged since 2018, reflecting our dedication to ensuring more people can enjoy this signature festival,” organizers said, noting there will be something for everyone.

Western Canada’s biggest food festival said it will feature 88 new menu items — out of 178 in total — including sushi banana crepes, chocolate hot dogs, deep-fried pumpkin pancakes, bacon-wrapped jalapenos and bannock cheddar sliders.

The festival has 11 new restaurants, including Szechuan Paramount, Ribeye Butcher Shop and Kissan Restaurant & Sweets.

“Taste of Edmonton is celebrating a big anniversary, and we are proud to bring new ways for the community to connect with incredible food, exciting music and an awesome market,” said Donovan Vienneau, general manager of Events Edmonton, in a release.

THE MARKET by Wholly Handmade is new this year, featuring more than 90 local vendors rotating through 33 booths throughout the festival.

Taste of Edmonton takes over Churchill Square July 18 to 28.
