Sunday works: Stronghold’s bullet leads 43 graded winners
Stronghold worked five furlongs in a bullet 59.0 seconds Sunday morning at Santa Anita as he prepares for his first start since finishing seventh in the Kentucky Derby.
It was the fastest work of 52 at the distance. Trainer Phil d’Amato said the Ghostzapper colt, winner of the Santa Anita Derby (G1), probably will start in Saturday’s Grade 3 Indiana Derby.
