Summer Games Fest Brings the Fight With Street Fighter 6 DLC & Fatal Fury: City of Wolves
During the opening show for Summer Games Fest, a special Capcom announcement brought the second wave of Street Fighter 6 DLC & the new Fatal Fury: City of Wolves title.
During the massive opening Summer Games Fest 2024 showcase, Capcom brought the heat with it and decided to let everyone know who is joining the roster. Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, and fan-favourite villain M. Bison, lead the Season Two fighter pass and that’s not all, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves is an entirely new entry in the beloved fighting game franchise. The trailer for the new Fatal Fury can be seen below.
This marks over 20 years since Fatal Fury has received a new entry, but the legendary fighting game franchise will be making an epic return in 2025 at some point. Street Fighter 6 fans may have noticed a certain lack of villainy, as M. Bison has been removed from the roster for all of year one. Capcom has decided to pull the curtain back for the villain for year two as M. Bison, Terry Bogard (from Fatal Fury), Elena and Mai are joining the fight in year two. The banner displaying the characters can be seen below.
Both are surprise announcements at Summer Games Fest, and while many fighting game fans have surmised that Street Fighter 6 would be adding their villain in a DLC wave, year two feels fitting enough to bring him back to the fight. Outside of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch, this is also the only place Ryu can fight Terry Bogard.
Fans will have to wait a tad longer for release dates, as SNK and Capcom have not revealed when either title will launch. Fatal Fury: City of Wolves will launch in 2025, and the SF6 DLC has not received a release date just yet.
