Strong Duo Could Give Brown Sixth Straight Lake George

Chad Brown knows how to win the $175,000 Lake George Stakes (G3T), and he looks to do it for the sixth straight year when he sends a pair of 3-year-old fillies to the Saratoga Race Course starting gate July 20.

Surge Capacity  took the contest last year, and Brown, Joel Rosario, and Klaravich Stables reunite with Oversubscribed .

A two-time winner in three starts, Oversubscribed makes her graded debut off a 3 1/4-length victory in the Wild Applause Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack June 22, her first start shortening to the Lake George’s one-mile distance.

Rosario rides the Too Darn Hot  filly for the first time while Brown’s other filly, Resolute Racing’s Sweet Rebecca , carries regular rider Tyler Gaffalione.

A listed stakes winner in April, the American Pharoah   filly attempts to get back on track after an awkward step on the far turn compromised her graded debut in Aqueduct’s Wonder Again Stakes (G2T) May 27.

Resolute Racing is also represented by Mark Casse-trained Pounce , the only filly in the field of 10 with a graded turf win this season.
