Steam gamers can download a gorgeous new free game now

You know how people joke they’re suckers for a pretty face? Well, we’re suckers for a pretty game. And boy oh boy, this Steam title is a beauty!

Steam often tempts us with gorgeous games, but this new one is one of the prettiest we’ve seen recently.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is releasing later this month on 19 July. However, if you don’t want to wait to play, there’s a free demo available right now.

This game is likely familiar to console players, as PlayStation users have until 18 July to claim an enticing collection of freebies related to this title.

That same deadline applies to PC players as well, just as a heads up to those interested in testing their skills before the demo disappears.

“A new tale of the Kami awaits… Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a unique Japanese-inspired, single player Kagura Action Strategy game.”

Its synopsis continues, “The game takes place on a mountain covered by defilement. During the day, purify the villages and prepare yourself for sundown. During the night, protect the Maiden against the hordes of the Seethe.”

Even though its yet to launch, the demo has already received much positive feedback from fans.

“Beautiful, unique, haunting and really fun to play,” reviewed one player, before adding that they’d have purchased the game “either way”.

Steam user Atom said, “Feels like a PS2 era Capcom title in the best way. Mix of tower defence, management, lite RPG, RTS and action game with a great aesthetic and strong vibes.”

So far, there’s not a single bad review of the demo. While that may change, the warm reception proves that this is a free download you don’t want to miss.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will launch on 19 July on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
