START DREAMING TO THE MAX WHILE SHOPPING AT THE BEER STORE

”A six-pack please, oh, and a ticket for tonight.”

That’s what you may be hearing or saying soon at The Beer Store.

The fine print of the recently announced deal that clears the way for beer, wine and other drinks to be sold in corner stores starting September 5th, also allows Beer Stores to apply for licences to sell lottery tickets.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming is not saying if The Beer Store has such plans.

Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie says doing so would appear to go against what the government’s trying to achieve.

Doug Ford’s ”taking reliable business away from the very convenience stores he said he was trying to help,” in Crombie’s view.
