EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE tennis standout Jill Lambrechts has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Women’s Academic All-America third team. Lambrechts was a second team Academic All-America selection two seasons ago.
The native of Beerse, Belgium, holds a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while earning a bachelor’s in biological sciences and a graduate degree in biological sciences.
Lambrechts, who is completing a master of science in biological sciences, posted a 16-7 singles record, leading SIUE to an Ohio Valley Conference Championship and a bid to the NCAA Tournament. She was named first team All-OVC.
She completed her collegiate career with 76 singles wins and 72 doubles wins, third most in SIUE’s Division I era.
On the court, Lambrechts was one of the most prolific tennis talents in the Ohio Valley Conference.
