Section 9 singles and doubles players all fall in openers at state boys tennis tourney

All three singles players and three doubles teams representing Section 9 bowed in straight sets in their opening matches in the New York State boys tennis championships in Flushing.

Allen Yi of Goshen, Ethan Rodriguez of Minisink Valley and T.J. Mancuso of Monroe-Woodbury placed 1-2-3 at the recent Section 9 championships.

In doubles, Henry-Goings Perrot and Alex Cestaro of Newburgh won sections, Ryan Geller and Adam Greher of Cornwall were the runners-up and Matthew Medina and Tyler Yhun of Washingtonville placed third.
