Heads up guys, the Apple AirPods aren’t the only earbuds that are worth your attention, especially for non-iOS users. Today Amazon is offering the Bose QuietComfort II Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds for only $179. That’s $100 off the original $279 MSRP for one of the best noise cancelling buds you can get.

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II

Bose is well known for its lineup of excellent QuietComfort headphones. These earbuds use similar technology for its noise cancellation but packed into a much smaller and more subtle form factor. Aside from the proprietary Bose noise cancelling tech, these earbuds also include three pairs of eartips and three pairs of stability bands to ensure a solid fit, both for comfort and for effective passive noise isolation.

The Quietcomfort Earbuds II connects via the updated Bluetooth 5.3 spec for faster pairing and more reliable connection up to 30 feet. The earbuds will remember your last seven connected devices, so it’s easy to swap among them. If you need to listen to your surroundings, you can turn on only one earbud. There’s a handy Bose app to control stuff like noise cancellation levels, Bluetooth connections, volume, and more, but you can also do so with simple swipes on the earbuds themselves without ever needing to pick up your phone. The earbuds will last up to 6 hours on a single charge, but a handy little charging case is included that will quicky give you back 2 hours of battery life from just 20 minutes of charging.

The Apple AirPods are great for iPhone users, but for everyone else you sacrifice a good bit of functionality as well as audio quality (you lose out on stuff like spatial audio, auto eq, and more). The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II sound just as good, cancel just as well, and all the features work on Android.
