Saturday horse racing tips: Noble Dynasty the pick for Newmarket’s feature race

Our horse racing tipster gives his best bets from Newmarket’s Summer Saturday racecard.

1.40pm: Remaat

Two-year-old filly out of Kodiac, Remaat disappointed on debut, she dwelt at the start and was difficult to get pointed in the right direction. Outpaced in the rear despite being ridden, she stayed on to pick off a couple of opponents finishing sixth.

She was much improved three weeks ago at Kempton Park however, when not making the perfect start again, shooting out to the left but much quicker away than on debut. She sat one off the rail just in behind the leaders, before she swung to the outside in the home straight and only found one who followed her through to good on that occasion. The form of that race is good and she can break her maiden tag at the third attempt.

2.15pm: Tales Of The Heart

Two-year-old filly out of Mehmas, Tales Of The Heart was an expensive purchase for connections, setting them back £420,000. She has however already shown that she might have the ability to be good enough to pay that invest off over her career when she won impressively on debut.

She was the horse Remaat had the misfortune to bump into. Trailing that horse through the race she seemingly won with plenty left in the tank, not needing to give quite 100% to win. Further improvement is expected and she can win this listed race in just her second career start.

3.25pm: Noble Dynasty

Noble Dynasty is a six-year-old gelding out of Dubai. His most successful season came in 2022, winning three class 2 handicap races. The improvement in form likely stemming from the decision to geld him after the end of his disappointing three-year-old campaign.

Unraced as a five-year-old, he was well backed for his return to racing in Dubai at the start of March but he only managed a moderate fifth placed finish. However he was back to his best at the start of last month, making all in a class 2 handicap and staying on well to win comfortably. This is more difficult, stepping back up in grade for this race but now he is fully tuned up, he is more than capable of winning a race at this level. Main threat could well be Witch Hunter who put in a good performance at Royal Ascot.
