The New York Racing Association said it reached a new contractual agreement has been reached with FanDuel TV to the satisfaction of both parties. As a result, pari-mutuel wagering on the summer meet at Saratoga once again will be available on FanDuel platforms.
“We are pleased to have reached a resolution that will allow FanDuel-TVG customers across the country to wager on NYRA racing now and moving forward,” NYRA chief revenue officer Tony Allevato said. “In accordance with the goals stated at the outset of this process, NYRA will be dedicating significant funding to support New York’s horsemen and strengthen the state’s Thoroughbred racing ecosystem.”
As part of the new agreement, FanDuel TV also will make a sizable contribution to the NYRA Foundation to further the impact of nonprofit organizations and service providers active in backstretch services, Thoroughbred aftercare and more. The NYRA Foundation establishes a pathway for businesses and individuals to contribute to a variety of worthy endeavors connected to Thoroughbred racing in New York State.
“We are happy to have reached a multi-year agreement with the New York Racing Association and to extend our 24-year wagering partnership,” said Andrew Moore, general manager, racing, FanDuel Group. “We look forward to the Saratoga meet and beyond and to supporting the good work of the NYRA Foundation.”
