Let’s start with the refreshed Galaxy Z series, which Samsung claims is slimmer, lighter, and even more durable than before thanks to an Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and rear of the devices. The new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 also use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip the company previously used on some versions of the Galaxy S24 Ultra and some versions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip6

The Galaxy Z Fold6 still comes with a 7.6-inch screen AMOLED screen with a slightly higher 2160×1856 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which can now deliver up to 2,600 nits of brightness. The cover display is a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen, also with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Despite the thinner frame (12.1mm when folded), the Galaxy Z Fold6 comes with an upgraded cooling system with a 1.6x larger vapor chamber. The new foldable phone comes with 12GB of memory, up to 1TB of storage, and a 4,400mAh battery that can be charged up to 50% in around 30 minutes. The camera system includes a 10MP cover camera, a 4MP camera under the main display, and a rear triple camera system with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 10MP Telephoto camera.

The Z Flip6, however, comes with 6.7″ and 3.4” AMOLED displays, though the cover screen only has a 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the clamshell phone has the same 12GB of memory, though storage is limited to up to 512GB. There’s also a larger 4,000mAh battery, as well as a brand-new vapor chamber. On the camera front, there’s a 10MP front camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP wide-angle camera sensor.

With its new Galaxy Z series, Samsung promises new AI features that make better use of its foldable screens. While Samsung is building its own AI experiences within apps like Samsung Notes and the Samsung Keyboard, the company is also relying heavily on Google’s Gemini AI. The latest Google Gemini app for Android is now optimized for Samsung’s latest foldable phones, with the Gemini overlay now accessible in the multi-window split screen.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 will start at $1,899 and $1,099, respectively, and they will start shipping on July 24. Samsung also promises seven years of software updates for its latest foldable phones.

Galaxy Buds3 Series

Samsung also announced today the Galaxy Buds3 Series, which includes the $180 Galaxy Buds3 and the $250 Galaxy Buds3 Pro. The AirPods-like earplugs both support active noise cancellation and AI-powered features like Interpreter that can translate foreign languages in real-time.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro, which come with eartips like Apple’s AirPods Pro, offer enhanced 2-way speakers and different features such as Adaptive Noise Control and Voice Detect to optimize sound quality depending on the environment. The The Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro are available in Silver and White, and they will also start shipping on July 24.

The Galaxy Watch7 will be available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. The new smartwatch will offer advanced health monitoring features including sleep apnea and atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection, as well as electrocardiogram and blood pressure monitoring.

The new Galaxy Watch Ultra, which will only be available in a 47mm size, will offer a more durable design with a Titanium frame and 10ATM water resistance. Thanks to a bigger battery, it will work for up to 100 hours in Power Saving mode and 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving.
