Russell among multiple drivers summoned by stewards after Canadian GP
Multiple drivers have been called to see the stewards after the chequered flag in Canada for numerous incidents.
Mercedes’ George Russell is among those who will face the stewards following his run to third place.
The Briton was in a close incident on-track with Oscar Piastri as they battled for the final spot on the podium late in the grand prix, with Russell taking to the escape road at the final corner after a botched overtake attempt.
Piastri has also been called to the stewards’ office in relation to the same incident.
Sergio Perez has been called for allegedly driving his car in an unsafe condition.
The Red Bull driver, who endured a difficult qualifying session that eliminated him at the end of Q1, spun at Turn 6 on lap 53.
He subsequently damaged his rear wing and drove back to the pit lane, depositing debris on the track as he did so.
Yuki Tsunoda, from Red Bull’s sister RB team, will also see the stewards for appearing late to the pre-race national anthem.
Tsunoda was on course to score points before suffering a late race spin that shuffled him down the running order.
