Victory Valley Royals won the Nigel Hinds/Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) Men’s Championship, defeating Amelia’s Ward Jets 76-63 on Saturday evening.

Staged at the Amelia’s Ward Hard-court, Yannick Tappin and Harold Adams led the way for the visitors with 17 points apiece, while Orlan Glasgow and Keifer Tappin supported with 11 points each.

For the hosts, Quincy Easton recorded 15 points, while Dennis Niles and Shannon Cadogan contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Royals dictated the initial exchanges of the contest, as they led 16-7 at the end of the first stanza. Royals then increased their advantage in the second period, scoring 32 points while restricting the home side to 22 to enter the halftime break in control at 48-29.
