Rhea Ripley Returns On WWE Raw – WrestleTalk

WWE

Rhea Ripley made her return at the end of tonight’s July 8 episode of WWE Raw after months out due to injury.

Tonight’s WWE Raw main event saw Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan team up in a WWE ring for the first time to take on Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega in a mixed tag match.

Dominik and Morgan picked up the win, and Morgan was very eager to celebrate with a kiss in the middle of the ring.

Just as it looked like Dominik was about to give into temptation, the music hit and out stormed Rhea Ripley.

Morgan fled the scene as Ripley entered the ring and came face-to-face with Dominik.

Dominik went for a hug, but Ripley simply shoved him away and walked off, with Dominik following behind her and pleading that he’s been trying to shut down Morgan’s advances.

Someone has a lot of explaining to do…

Ripley had been off WWE TV since April 15 when she vacated the Women’s World Championship after suffering an injury.

Her shoulder injury was legitimately sustained during a backstage brawl with Liv Morgan when Ripley collided with a wall.

During her absence, the vacant title was won by Becky Lynch in a battle royal, but Lynch quickly dropped it to Liv Morgan who’s remained champion since King & Queen of the Ring on May 25.

Morgan vowed to take “everything” away from Ripley while she was gone, which means not only the championship, but also a reluctant Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan’s pursuit of Mysterio has affected the wider Judgment Day, although Finn Balor and JD McDonagh seem to view her as a positive influence more than a negative one after she helped them win the World Tag Team Championship.

As for Ripley during that time, she’s of course been recovering, but also made news for marrying her real-life partner, AEW star Buddy Matthews.

Providing Ripley is cleared for in-ring action, a title match between Ripley and Morgan is likely for SummerSlam.
