Report: Frank Stronach is charged with sexual assault

Stronach has been arrested and charged with sexual assault by the Peel Regional
Police according to a press release issued by the department and first reported
by CP24. Peel is a Municipality in Ontario, Canada.
The 91-year-old Canadian billionaire was charged
with five criminal offences, rape, indecent assault on a female, sexual assault
x2 and forcible confinement. He has been released on conditions and will appear
at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.
The charges came following an investigation by the Special
Victims Unit. It is alleged that the assaults occurred between the 1980s
and as recent as 2023.
Stronach founded Magna International Inc., an Ontario-based
global automotive parts manufacturer, but relinquished control of
the company in 2010. He has also since relinquished control of his racetrack
properties that include Gulfstream, Santa Anita and Pimlico.
