Report: Bayern Munich players circulating viral locker room video of new head coach Vincent Kompany
Bayern Munich finally has a new head coach in Vincent Kompany, and naturally many are wondering what life will be like under the new leadership. Including the Bayern squad — and Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk seems to be doing some digging in search of a scoop.
The Bayern players have apparently been circulating an old clip of a tough post-game talk from Kompany’s Anderlecht days. Via @iMiaSanMia:

: ‘There’s an old viral video of Kompany berating and shouting at his Anderlecht players in the dressing room. I have heard that the Bayern players have shared this video very often amongst themselves and are looking forward to seeing if he will react this way in the Bayern dressing room at any point. I told Kompany that the Bayern players have already seen this video and are talking about it. He said that he won’t lie to the players and will speak his mind when necessary’ [via @caughtoffside]

Like Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, even predecessor Thomas Tuchel — it seems every football manager needs to have a “throw water bottle” option in their locker. Falk’s report does not reveal what players think of the video — but perhaps some will appreciate a manager who gives it to them straight.
