Relaunching an app showcasing local travel experience – My North Bay Now

Tourism North Bay is relaunching an app designed to enhance the local travel experience for residents and visitors.  

It was originally launched four years ago.  

“The app was initially introduced in 2020 and never really had the opportunity to reach its full potential due to the travel restrictions and safety measures put in place during the pandemic,” says Tanya Bédard, Executive Director of Tourism North Bay. 

Officials say Driftscape will allow users to discover North Bay’s hidden gems, historical sites, local attractions, upcoming events and accommodations.  

“This app will not only enhance the visitor experience but also encourage residents to explore and appreciate the incredible assets we have right here in the city,” says Bedard.  

More features are expected in the coming months.  

Partners involved in the app include Tourism North Bay, the City of North Bay’s Economic Development Department, North Bay Public Library, Discovery Routes and Creative Industries.  

The app is available for free download on both iOS and Android devices.
