Regional police arrest Toronto man in Cambridge taxi scam


Regional police have arrested and charged a Toronto man in relation to a Cambridge taxi fraud scam.

According to police, they received a tip of a taxi fraud scam in progress around 9:45 p.m. Saturday night in the area of Hespeler Road and Sheldon Drive.

When police arrived on scene they arrested a 34-year-old Toronto man.

He is facing multiple charges that include, fraud under $5,000, theft of a credit card and breach of probation.

Police say additional charges are anticipated and the investigation is ongoing.
