Made entirely from deadstock fabric in earthy tones like aquamarine and bronze, the 18-piece collection is designed for women who want pieces they can wear both to the office and for a night on the town, looking and feeling sexy. Standouts include the Charchi miniskirt, which was designed to accentuate the leg without causing unplanned flashing incidents: “I’ve always wanted something that was low-waisted, short, but not too short—you know, you could still wear it and not be too exposed,” Harrier says. The Maddie one-shoulder top, which similarly shows off the décolletage while making sure the wearer’s breasts feel secure, references a vintage piece Harrier has had in her closet for years. “I’ve been wearing it all summer already, wearing it during the day with a long, flowy white skirt,” the BlacKkKlansman star says. “And then I’ve been wearing it out at night with a miniskirt, so it can really go either way.”

Designing a new collection at a time when the fashion industry continues to wrestle with sustainability, while satisfying restless market demands, is something Harrier doesn’t take lightly: “Fashion is one of the biggest polluters in the world, and I think we can kind of all do our part to help contribute to something that has a longer life, that isn’t made, you know, like in a massive factory with fast fashion,” she says. “That’s part of my love of collecting vintage clothes: supporting something that’s more sustainable.” Reformation, which began by exclusively selling vintage clothing out of a storefront in Los Angeles, has continued to keep sustainability at its core as the brand expands, making the environmental footprint of its products public through a quarterly sustainability report and continuing to innovate in the womenswear category with new textiles like its water-saving jeans, made from regenerative and recycled cotton.

The Reformation × Laura Harrier collection is now available online and in select stores, with prices in the collection ranging from $88 to $578. Shop our favorite pieces below.
