Reese’s Book Club Partnering with Apple Books

Big news for book lovers: Reese’s Book Club is coming to Apple Books!

On Tuesday, June 4, it was exclusively announced with PEOPLE that the digital book app has been named the “official audiobook home” for Reese Witherspoon’s beloved book community.

Apple Books will feature a dedicated page showcasing the book club’s latest monthly picks, previous selections and “editorial collections curated exclusively by Apple and Reese’s Book Club editors,” according to a press release about the partnership.

“For so many people, audiobooks are a powerful and accessible way to enjoy the experience of an amazing book,” said Witherspoon in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “We’re truly excited to partner with Apple Books to connect our incredible community and audiobook lovers everywhere with the latest Reese’s Book Club picks.”

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, called Witherspoon a “powerful force in spotlighting diverse storytelling and new perspectives.”

Founded in 2017, Reese’s Book Club is operated through Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine. The book club centers women-led stories and aims to “deepen our connection to books, authors and ourselves,” according to the company’s website.

As part of the partnership with Apple Books, the authors and talent from Hello Sunshine will curate audiobook recommendations throughout the year, which will be shared exclusively on the app.

Previous book selections include Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s Daisy Jones & The Six and Cheryl Strayed’s Tiny Beautiful Things – all of which have seen recent television adaptations co-produced by Hello Sunshine.

The media company has previously collaborated with Apple, having produced the Apple TV+ original series The Last Thing He Told Me, as well as the Emmy Award-winning series The Morning Show – which also stars Witherspoon – and the psychological thriller Surface.

The book club’s latest pick is The Unwedding by The New York Times bestselling author Ally Condie. The mystery thriller follows recent divorcee Ellery Wainwright after she finds a dead body in a pool while on vacation in Big Sur, Calif. The mystery continues when a mudslide traps the guests at the resort and another person winds up dead.
