Ranking all 32 NFL teams (including the Broncos) by projected 2025 salary cap space

The Denver Broncos have about $8,711,196 worth of remaining salary cap space ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

Next year, Denver will have a lot more breathing room.

The league’s salary cap is $255.4 million in 2024. A conservative estimate from OverTheCap.com projects an increase to $260 million in 2025. Going off that estimate, the Broncos are projected to have $37,090,54 in available salary cap space next year, sixth-most in their conference and second-most in the AFC West.

Denver would have even more cap space next year if not for former quarterback Russell Wilson’s $32 million “dead money” cap hit. When the team is finally free of Wilson’s contract in 2026, the Broncos are projected to have $188,996,840 in available cap space, more than any other team.

Denver has looming contract extensions for guard Quinn Meinerz and cornerback Pat Surtain on deck, deals that will eat into their 2025 cap. Right now, though, the team is projected to have about $37 million available next offseason.

Elsewhere in the division, the Los Angeles Chargers are in the best shape ($51,773,099), followed by the Broncos, then the Las Vegas Raiders ($25,411,247). The Kansas City Chiefs ($16,492,968) have the least amount of cap space to work with in the AFC West.

The New England Patriots ($96,683,193) are projected to have the most cap space in the league while the New Orleans Saints (-$84,830,800) are expected to be in the biggest cap hole in 2025.
