RAM Consulting picked for engineering and project delivery for BC Hydro transmission services – Journal Of Commerce
VANCOUVER – BC Hydro has awarded a contract to Vancouver-based RAM Consulting for engineering and project delivery services for the next 20 years for the utility’s transmission and distribution systems across British Columbia.
Under the agreement RAM will oversee planning, design, engineering, project delivery and construction management and its scope includes safety management with a prime contractor designation.
“This contract is an exciting opportunity to grow a team dedicated to BC Hydro’s advancement of transmission and distribution systems across the province. As load growth and aging infrastructure continue to stress the current system, RAM will play a pivotal role in enhancing reliability and efficiency of the grid,” project delivery director Monique Staals said in the release.
RAM has worked with BC Hydro previously on distribution projects such as the utility’s downtown Vancouver H-Frame Removal program, the Repeatable Design and Engineering Master Services Agreement and the Electrical and Civil Inspection Master Service Agreement.
