Race-by-race preview and tips for Tuesday meeting at Hawkesbury

Race 3 – 2:05pm: DAVO’S DASH PROVINCIAL MAIDEN PLATE (1100m)

9. Glassout is a filly on debut. She had two trials earlier in the year and showed improvement in the second of them. She’s had another two trials leading into this first race start, and she won the latest of them at this track. She’s drawn the inside gate here and is set to take a power of beating.

Dangers: 2. Invade And Conquer ran a great race when resuming with a narrow second at this track, then ran well again when a last start third at Wyong. He has a good overall record and is racing well enough to give this a shake. 8. Nights Inferno ran well in a Saturday grade race on debut and only needs to run up to that to be a leading chance in this, while 6. Torie’s Rose was close-up when placed at Gosford when resuming, and has had a solid trial since failing on a heavy track at Newcastle.

How to play it: Glassout WIN

Race 4 – 2:40pm: ALL ASPECTS ROOFING BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1600m)

3. Aix En Provence hasn’t missed a place from six starts and followed a win at Kembla Grange two starts ago with a solid second there last time out. He can bounce back to winning form here.

Dangers: 8. Verbek has shown plenty of ability in his career and won in good style at Wyong last time out. The stable is in form, and he should run well again here. 2. From The Bush was down the track at Canterbury last time out but is a sharp improver, while 1. Mickey’s Medal won here recently and has claims on the back of a last-start second at Canterbury.

How to play it: Aix En Provence WIN

Race 5 – 3:15pm: IRRESISTIBLE POOLS & SPAS MIDWAY BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1300m)

1. Satness is from the Robert and Luke Price stable, and they have been in great form of late, having landed a winning treble at Kembla Grange last Thursday. Satness is resuming from a spell in this but was a winner at Kembla Grange two starts ago, and he tackled Midway company at Randwick and wasn’t disgraced before the break. He should be primed to sprint well fresh.

Dangers: 3. Sovereign Express is a talented performer on his day and has won four of 20 starts. He was beaten less than a length when resuming at Warwick Farm at big odds and is suited in this. 6. Undivided has had two runs back from a spell and is ready to hit peak form in this. A forward showing is expected. 7. Baranof has shown enough ability in his career to be rated a place chance against this opposition.

How to play it: Satness EACH WAY

Race 6 – 3:50pm: FOWLER CIVIL CONTRACTING CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1300m)

6. I Am Famous was first-up from a spell at Warwick Farm when last produced, and she returned in great order to score a strong win. She will be even better for that run, and she should run well in this again with Kerrin McEvoy taking the ride.

Dangers: 3. Battle Of Vienna resumed from a spell with a strong win at Gosford, and has since followed a third at Scone with a last placing at Canterbury when not beaten far in a seven-horse field. 1. Koning is first-up in this, and while he’s better over longer distances, he’s had two trials leading into this and is ready to sprint well fresh. 5. House Of Cards is also resuming in this, and he’s performed well in each of his race starts to date. He’s had two solid trials leading into this.

How to play it: I Am Famous WIN

Race 7 – 4:25pm: CLARENDON TAVERN BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1000m)

2. Troika is a well-performed galloper resuming from a spell here. He’s a winner of three of 12 starts, and has had two solid trials leading into this return to racing. He won a trial at Warwick Farm before being close-up at Hawkesbury in the latest of them.

Dangers: 4. Eye Of The Fire went to the front and battled on too strongly to score a win at this track two starts ago. He since was far from disgraced in tougher grade at Warwick Farm. He should push forward here and take plenty of running down. 7. Kiribati is a recent trial winner resuming from a spell here and is worth including among the main chances. 6. Mon Pierre is second-up from a spell and should run well on the back of a solid resuming effort.

How to play it: Troika EACH WAY
